Barcelona

What can you expect from Barcelona?

Barcelona is my favourite city to visit in Europe and in the last five years I have visited Barcelona five times, so far. Each time I return I find new reasons to love Barcelona all over again. It’s a city that has everything you could possibly want as a modern day tourist. A European city by the Mediterranean Sea, contemporary architecture, Spanish tapas, football and even Gaudi, this Catalan city brings a lot to the table and to experience it properly you’ll also need a lot of money. It’s not cheap.

There are currently 22 Michelin Star restaurants in Barcelona and if you’re looking for cool restaurants in Barcelona, be sure to check out Enigma. For those looking for a bar with views, W Hotel on La Barceloneta will leave you speehless but here’s a little insider information. If you’re looking for 360 views of Barcelona, walk into Hotel Barcelo in El Raval and take the lift up to the terrace floor. It’s free and you’re welcome.

Places I recommend To See in Barcelona

Casa Milà
Casa Batlló
Camp Nou
La Barceloneta Beach
Boqueria Market
Park Güell
Sagrada Familia
Tibidabo Amusement Park
Barcelona Cathedral & Gothic Quarter

My Favourite Restaurants in Barcelona

1.
Enigma: A Michelin Star restaurant, Enigma is 40 courses over 4 hours you'll never forget. Great sober drinks pairing also.
2
Botafumeiro: A historic seafood restaurant located in the upscale Gracia neighbourhood where you'll need at least 300€ for dinner for two.

3
Cuines Santa Caterina: A 2 minute walk from the Barcelona Cathedral in the Gothic Quarter, Cuines Santa Caterina serves tapas and traditional Mediterranean cuisine.
4
Robata: Looking for the best sushi in Barcelona centre according to Google? Go to Robata.

What to wear in Barcelona?

Considering you’ll be doing A LOT of sightseeing in Barcelona, it’s best to wear your most comfortable clothing. You certainly don’t want a blister in Barcelona! However, in the evenings Barcelona really comes out to play. You can get as glamourous and dressed up as you like, in fact locals will appreciated your well put together outfits as you walk by them in high end restaurants.
