Maguro Restaurant & Sushi Bar ・Zadar, Croatia

Compared to Split and Zagreb, Zadar’s gastro scene is still very under developed leaving many unexplored opportunities. When I first moved to Zadar last May, I noticed that there weren’t any Japanese restaurants and sushi was nowhere to be found, except for a random pop up at Hotel Bastion mid summer. When a couple of months back it was announced…

Khala Restaurant & Bar: Sushi in Zagreb ・ Croatia

Since Japanese cuisine is “on trend,” in Zagreb, there are several places where you can get sushi. For a more casual sushi experience, Ginger Sushi is perfect and well priced. However, if you’d like to dress up and pretend you’re going to Nobu in London for the night, Takenoko, Time and Khala are the places to go in Zagreb. Takenoko is…

Located in a quiet pocket called Anica Bay in Croatia’s Kornati National Park is Konoba Levrnaka on Island Levrnaka. Surrounded by natural and unspoiled beauty, the restaurant is also a five minute walk from the island’s only sandy beach called “Lojena.” Each year the sea side restaurant lures in countless yachts, many of whom have booked a table in advance. I often get asked about where to eat in zagreb. Since it's the captial city of Croatia, you can expect a wider range of restaurants to choose from. It’s no secret that I love food and have accumulated the reputation for dining at some of the Croatia's best restaurants. We all know that I love Takenoko in Zagreb but sushi is not quite Croatian cuisine and let’s be real, I can’t and don’t eat sushi everyday. There’s a little secret I’ve been keeping from you and I kind of know where the best Dalmatian Zagora restaurant in Zagreb is, it’s Konoba Didov San.

Michelin Recommended: Dinner at Zinfandel’s Restaurant ・Zagreb, Croatia

Why Zinfandel’s Restaurant  in Zagreb does not have a Michelin Star in Croatia in 2019, I’ll never understand. In my opinion, it is much better  than Noel. Located on the ground floor of Zagreb’s most luxurious hotel, The Esplanade, Zinfandel’s is the type of restaurant that requires your finest outfit. It’s stylish, elegant and romantic, the perfect dinner date for…

Located on the ground floor of Zagreb's most luxurious hotel, The Esplanade, Zinfandel's is the type of restaurant that requires your finest outfit. It's stylish, elegant and romantic, the perfect dinner date for two or ideal location to seal the deal with a new client. No other establishment in Zagreb can compare to The Esplanade, it's simply in a league of it's own. It's also one of my favourite places go stop by for a coffee (they also have the best hot chocolate during the christmas period) and having dinner there with my husband became increasingly higher on my to-do list.
